The completed kitchen renovation transformed the outdated kitchen into a sleek, functional space. Mrs Davies desired a modern, easy-to-maintain kitchen with more storage and worktop space for her cooking and baking, especially with her grandchildren. To achieve this, she chose the Lugano Gloss Painted Range in Ivory with grey laminate worktops, which provides a clean and contemporary look.

The project also involved replacing the tiled flooring in the kitchen, utility room, and toilet with durable and easy-to-maintain Luxury Vinyl flooring, which offered a practical and stylish upgrade. A sleek new Franke sink and tap were installed, while Mrs Davies retained her existing double oven and provided her own gas hob, allowing her to personalise the modernised space.

The Process & The Kitchen Design & Build In Progress

The project started by completely removing the outdated kitchen and ceiling, including the tiled flooring and wall tiles that extended into the utility room. The subfloor was then levelled to prepare for the new flooring, creating a smooth and even base for installing the Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT).

Following this, the team completed a kitchen rewire, incorporating modern spotlights, under-cabinet lighting and upgraded sockets and switches to improve functionality and convenience. Once the walls and ceiling were replastered, the plumbing was reconfigured to accommodate the sink’s repositioning. The final stage involved the installation of sleek new kitchen units, worktops, and bespoke splashback panels tailored to Mrs Davies’ preference for a design inspired by a previous project completed by the team.

The renovation was completed seamlessly, with clear and consistent communication throughout. This ensured Mrs Davies’ vision and satisfaction were prioritised at every step.
